Mission Statement

To actively serve the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church by closely following the directions of the current Discipline; specifically handling the financial business of the church, seeking out the sick and sharing our ministries with the needy and the distressed.

Goals

¨To conduct training workshops when requested for Stewards at strategically located sites within the Winston-Salem/Greenville District to educate our District Stewards, Local Stewards, and congregations in the following areas as needed:

1. The Duties of the Stewards (as outlined in the CME Discipline)
2. Robert Rules of Order
3. The C.M.E. Doctrine
4. The Essentials of Maintaining Excellent Financial Records

¨Present periodic reports on a timely basis to the pastors regarding our ministry to the sick and needy.

¨Present an annual written progress report to the Presiding Elder detailing our ministries.

¨Create an expertise directory

¨Circulate sample Financial Accounting Forms when requested to be used by Stewards in presenting Financial Statements to Pastors and Congregations on a periodic basis, especially during Official Board Meetings and Church Conferences.

¨Conduct training workshops as needed on the District level to coincide with training initiatives of other District Boards.
