Mission Statement

The Ministers’ Spouses, Widow & Widowers Department of the Winston-Salem/Greenville District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church is a Christain-based auxiliary that seeks to provide a support system for the total development of the Spouse and their families through programs and ministry. The Ministers Spouses organization provides financial, spiritual and educaional support for the family and the Universal Church.

Goals

We will accomplish this mission through the following goals:

¨Financial support of the Agape Ministry

¨Encouraging the observance of the National Ministers’ Spouse’s Day the fourth Sunday in April

¨Plan, coordinate and provide financial support of the Henry C. Bunton Scholarship Fund Luncheon for the Carolina Region

¨Provide continuous education through communication and workshops to develop a total understanding of their role on the Local, District, Annual Conference and National level.

¨To ensure total inclusion in the organization through communication of Spouses tha are presently not active.

¨To conduct and execute a Service project in the 2010-2011 conference year.

¨Development of a prayer partner system for spiritual support

¨To create an infrastructure that provides and nurtures the overall needs of the Spouses and their families

¨To create an outreach program that provides continuous communication and emotional support for the spouses tenured and new in the ministry, Widows and Widowers

¨Acknowledgment of Birthday beginning 2011
